Adding 'Hot (Recent) Topics' and 'Recent Pictures' to the portal page particle boxes.

You will need to designate specific forums to populate those particle boxes.

For instance if you have a forum called General Discussion, you might want that to be one of the forums that populate the Recent Topics particle box. Go to your admin. control panel and edit the forum. Choose Recent Topics on the portal display combo box and save your changes. Repeat the process with as many forums as you wish. Any new posts/replies on those forums will start generating the Recent Topics particle box.

Similarly you can designate a board to populate the Recent Pictures particle box.
