(Applies to: all versions of FusionBB)

This can be quickly done by clicking on the problem user's IP address in the post you are concerned with. (This is assuming that you have the permissions set to see IPs.)

Once at the Manage IP Bans screen, you will see the following information:

  • IP Address
  • Host Name
  • A space for you to type the reason for the ban
  • A drop-down menu with options for ban duration (From 1 Hour to 1 year)

There are also two confirmation checkboxes: a Yes, ban this IP address and a Wild card this ban box.

  • If you choose Yes, ban this IP address, it will only ban that specific IP (for example, 123.123.123.123).

  • By checking Wild card this ban, the last octet of the IP address will be replaced with an * wild card. (In the case of the previous example, a wild card ban for 123.123.123.123 would cover all IP addresses from 123.123.123.0 to 123.123.123.255 used by that ISP.)

Click Proceed to confirm your choices.
