I think it has something to do with a mouse that wears pants but no shirt and a duck that wears a shirt but no pants... |

JP: It's no secret, I'm an active Disney fan, and make several trips a year to Walt Disney World. It's the one place I can truly relax my mind and just enjoy myself. Truly a man after my own heart. ![]() I'm such a WDW geek it's not even funny. And I always describe my obsession in almost the exact same words: "the one place I can truly relax and just enjoy myself." But I, too, seem to have the need to be connected to the net from just about anywhere. |

Heh, I don't see how you guys afford it. Granted it is a day and a half drive for me to get there from OK - but even then I have to do some solid financial planning to be able to afford it! I have not taken the kiddos yet (5 and 1.8)...but here in a few more years when the youngest will really enjoy it...we will go.

Heh, I don't see how you guys afford it. Granted it is a day and a half drive for me to get there from OK - but even then I have to do some solid financial planning to be able to afford it! A lot of it depends on getting the good deals. For instance, right now Disney is advertising a 7-day, 6-night vacation for a family of four for under $1500, including Disney hotel and park tickets. And while $1500 is nothing to sneeze at, it's really not bad for a week-long Disney vacation for the whole family... especially when you factor in the current "free dining" promotion where your food is free for your entire stay if you're going to be there during certain dates. I always check MouseSavers.com for good deals, too... their WDW page is a great reference for saving money. The more frequent visitors usually have annual passes, so they just have to cover transportation and lodging each visit. That makes things cheaper. Plus, I'm single, so when I go, it's just me. If I'm traveling with friends and we're splitting the hotel cost, it's even easier. Since it's the only vacation I take all year, that makes it really manageable. ![]() (Okay, this is all way off-topic, but hopefully Josh doesn't mind too much since he shares my passion!)

I get an annual pass - which if you visit frequently, really brings the admission price (per visit) down. Then often there are passholder hotel rates at 50% off. KFX's mom is a travel agent, so when I travel with them, she's booking rooms at an agent rate. Then use the Disney Visa card to build up Disney Dollars, and I use that for my sit-down-dining. Works well.I too am single, so it's pretty inexpensive for me to visit like I do.

I've never been there- only have been to World's of Fun in KC once, right after it opened in the mid '70s. $1500? Wow. If I had that-- it would have to be directed toward future bills (like helping my mom out with the house property tax/insurance & car insurance) later this year (I know-- *whine*whine* )But WDW still sounds nice
