I have a colleague that wants to merge his forums with mine bringing over 20k members and a few thousand posts.

I am going to be doing a bunch of data mining and tests to see how I may go about my venture.

Thoughts?

Good luck Stephen - I hope you succeed & will watch updates with interest.

I guess the importer will be the base for that & you'll need to watch for duplication of usernames -especially those who are members of his & your forum & forum/sub-forum names.

Just a thought - would it maybe be easier to convert the phpbb forum to FBB than merge?

typo - THEN merge!
