I'm trying to wean my members off photobucket & have been suprised at the size of the images they've uploaded & linked to. 300ppi images of 500kb have not been unusual!

Afraid at the space they'd use up ( I do appreciate I can set upload limits) I found an online image optimiser for them to use as many do not seem to be have or know how to use image editing software. It's been well used & works well

It's also possible to apply for a key to imbed it into your own site so I've done that & stuck a stripped down (KISS principle) version on a custom page.

A few days ago, I was trying to resize an avatar & was having a ton of problems keeping the image big enough to be seen--whilst still staying within the 80 x 80 pixel/6kb limit the site (where I wanted to post it) had.

This looks like it will be a big help! Many thanks for sharing the info
