We are pleased to announce the release of FusionBB version 2.3 to the members area. To download the latest version of FusionBB please visit our license system and click on "Client Area".
FusionBB 2.3 includes a variety of bug fixes from the previous version as well as some new features. A complete list of fixes and features can be found in our 2.3 Changelog.
A few of the new features added to 2.3 include:
Google Sitemap Functionality
Lightbox effect functionality to gallery forums
PTs or Emails sent to members on their birthday
Topic prefixes
Ability to save SQL queries

A great of example of topic prefixes is right here at FusionBB.
We have been using topic pre-fixes on our bugs forum for a little while now. We use the feature to mark items as "Not A Bug", "Fixed", "Checking" etc.
To use this great feature you first go to AdminCP -> Edit -> Edit Topic Prefixes to create your topic prefix.
After creating the prefixes you wish to use you need to edit your forum(s) to enable Topic PreFixes on the particular forums where you wish to use them.
Then when making posts in your forum you can go ahead and easily add them with the new drop down box:

We know that some of the more advanced Fusion users like to make modifications, look up information, etc. by executing SQL directly through the SQL Editor (AdminCP -> Database -> Execute SQL).
Now we've made it even easier by allowing you to save your favorite SQL commands so you can more easily execute them again in the future.

We had a few bugs when we first launched the client area but we've worked them out and have haven't had any reported recently. This however is our first major release were files are ONLY being distributed via the client area. So if you run into any problems or have any questions please PT me and I'll make sure to help you out ASAP.
