Hi
my site was updated last week and since then my subscription thing stoped working...paypal says "The link you have used to enter the PayPal system is invalid. Please review the link and try again."
Well no matter how many times you try it... no joy..
Ideas?
James

I had a few issues post upgrade to 3.1

Did you include the updated files at this link when you upgraded?
http://www.fusionbb.com/forum/showtopic....

I don't think they are in the full download yet.

nothing really changed between 2.1 and 3.1 as far as mpp went.. the biggest changes were that we now have more options to pay thru.. although I need to go through it again since a few no longer exist since the financial meltdown.. but the instructions here are pretty self explanatory..

http://www.fusionbb.com/support/index.ph...

the biggest change was that instead of leaving the config settings on the server they are now in the database macking a little harder to hack a site.. hopefully Josh saved your settings file since that mpp config file is removed in the upgrade..

but basically all you do is

1) set up fusion mpp thru the Admin Panel-> Subscriptions -> Api Manager and get the ipn url

http://www.yourdomain.com/fusion/mpp/pay...

2) go to paypall and click on account/profile and then IPN and copy the IPN http url from fusion to that box and click save..

Actually I just tested a standard subscribe button on their sandbox.. OUTSIDE of fusion.. a button they built for me.. and it gave me that

The link you have used to enter the PayPal system is invalid. Please review the link and try again

something is broke in their subscribe button method since thats what fusion uses.. I am going to try and troubleshoot it and see what they did..

Well havent used their sandbox in awhile but once I created a sandbox biz and sandbox buyer and ran the script I was successfully able to do it so if you want me to set it up for you just send me a PT with all the pertinent info.. admin act on forums..

Does this mean if I upgrade from 3.0 to 3.1 my MPP subscriptions will stop working?

I moved from 2.3 to 3.1 & mine didn't stop working although I had to reactivate those who'd renewed prior to the upgrade via the FBB AP as their status had changed to EOT & reinstate my subscribe button. Those are fixed bugs. Also note Couch's comments re the config.

as long as you keep a copy of everything in the forums/config directory you should not have any issues moving to the new format. Thats why I stress backup your db and backup your home directory. those are two things I can not stress enough and cannot do for you...
