A user contacted me re issue with picture in a gallery post. Approx 6 pics showed ok bit one was wrong. When I checked there were no files in the file manager even though they showed in his post & the paths were from his gallery folder & they weren't hotlinked from another post.

How can that be?

I did a test & removed the pics from the file manager after placing the code - the pics don't show.

That's a good one. Never have seen that before. The only thing I could think of that might cause that would be like database corruption, where some rows in the fbb_files table got lost during a repair, because the files would still be on the server, and the links to the embedded files would still work. But without the rows in the database they wouldn't show in the file manager.

That's kind of a long shot though.

Does he have any info about anything special he did? If it happens again, we might need to try to figure out exactly what the user did which might give some clues.

I wasn't running any repairs on the db. I've seen this a few times but don't think I've got around to mentioning it.

I've checked with him & he seemed to do everything the regular way.
