Is there a way to format an url to change the browsed forum sort setting?

With this I could put two links at the top of each forum saying "Click here to see most recent reply" and "Click here so see most recent topic".

So above where it says fid/15 that needs to be the forum ID you want to change.

And where it says sort/usernameA that's the sorting method you want to use. Here's the valid variables for sort:

default = Forum Default
origpostA = Original Post Date Ascending
origpostD = Original Post Date Descending
lastpostA = Last Post Date Ascending
lastpostD" selected="selected" >Last Post Date Descending
usernameA = Topic Starter Name Ascending
usernameD = Topic Starter Name Descending
viewsA = Topic Views Ascending
viewsD = Topic Views Descending
repliesA = Topic Replies Ascending
repliesD = Topic Replies Descending
alphaA = Subject Ascending
alphaD = Subject Descending
