I don't really post too much here but I have noticed all your points and have been addressing them for more than a year.
One is a more friendly phone layout.
One is better way to post to Facebook to bring folks back to our forums.
I tried that Tapatalk app on some other forums and in my opinion it pretty much sucked.
Check out
www.chevytalk.org and look for the link for mobile mode. Inside each post you will also see a post to facebook button. Then check out my facebook page
www.facebook.org/chevytalk.org and see how I integrated the forums and fb to tie together. I have been able to "increase" my forum traffic by 8% from facebook with out advertising.
I've also used email marketing to stay in touch with the folks that don't visit too much. I've been adding RSS as well.
I've also been able to monetize the site with various affiliate programs as well.
They are ways to get fb and forums to work together, its takes a plan and hard work. If you're interested in how you can do the same for your forum drop me a line.
Facebook can be a great feeder for our forums when used correctly.
I'm glad Fusion is getting some new life, its a great package.
