This BETA version will most definately have some bugs in it. We'll need your help to find and report these bugs.
It will still be missing a few features. We will continue to update and add functionality.
There will not be any import tools available yet. So if you're eventually going to be switching from another product what you can do for now is setup a test forum and let your users come try it out.
We are not ready to start charging for our product yet, so we'll ask that you agree to a "beta tester's agreement" before you can access the software. However signing up as a beta tester at this point does not obligate you to purchase if you decide FusionBB isn't for you. It will prohibit you from running FusionBB in a production environment without owning a license.
Beta software will be available this month.
If you are interested in being a beta tester, which means you'd like to download the software, install it on your own server, test it out, let your users come kick the tires etc.... Here is How:
1. Download the Beta Test Site Agreement (attached to this post in both .doc and .pdf formats).
2. Complete the Beta test Site Agreement (name, username, address and signature)
3. Return via Fax to 309-405-6941 (or scan via email to Josh at FusionBB.com )
4. Reply to this post (so we know who to expect an agreement from)
5. Upon review of your Beta Test Site Agreement we'll activate you into the Beta Test Group where you'll be able to access a Private Forum which will contain further instructions.
Note: we do reserve the right to limit Beta Tester Access for any reason.
I do need to add that I plan to remain cautious and conservative and won't be considering switching brands of board software for at least another year.
Me too please, I am starting a site for a medic unit in Iraq and since I have not "officially" ot it online yet I dont have to worry about a bunch of users to import
