That's is really an interesting website !
Unlucky it prompt an error when I try to calculate my website's value ...

Anyway the real issue to me is that in the reality nobody will really pay you those amounts for your website.

I see my old domain is worth $17,494 (another site told me $43K+ a little while back).

I think all of this is bullshit though as it all depends on what someone is willing to pay. I do not believe it is possible to calculate the value of a domainname with a formula.

For instance, the domainname I checked has a huge name recognition factor for a certain group of people, but there is no way this formula would know that.

This formula just seems to be going by pagerank and what the value of being able to utilize those links to drive revenue for ads or pay per click back to you. Some of my sites are worth upwards of $80,000 and if someone would pay that, I'd probably definately sell them. But like you say, it's a buyers market.

I do have a disney themed site I'm not really using which it says is worth $14,000+. If someone would pay that, I'd sell. ThreadsDev.net it said was worht $83,160 - I'd sell that in a heartbeat for that kind of money. ThreadsAddons.com was rated at $7,200.

It told me JoshuaPettit.com was worth $85,000 - for that kind of money, I might consider selling my own name. But my pagerank is so good due to all the links back I've gotten over the years due to consulting work.

Be that as it may, it's still fun to play with it. As everyone said, it all depends on what a REAL person is willing to pay for it. Personally, I can't believe anyone would pay me what that site said mine is worth.

I would sell, can normally start something afterwards. I was offered $1500 last year for my whole site, domain and content, turned that down though.
