OK - here's a job for some of our early testers.
See on our home page - http://www.fusionbb.com/ Lower left hand corner. We have some "user quotes".
Well - we only have a few - if you have "feedback" you'd like to have featured there - please post it here. 
I plan to randomize our quotes down there, once I have enough to do so.

Josh the portal is slotted to have a random quotes particle box. This will have it's own table in the database and will be configureable with a site permission as to who can add quotes to it. This could be used for quotes or 'tip of the day' or what ever type of random message someone wants displayed.

Speaking as an end-user, FusionBB incorporates a lot of 'user-friendly' things (the character counter for signatures is one innovation that comes to mind).
I wish every messageboard/site had these sort of things!!
