FusionBB gives you a wide variety of sorting options for the forums on your site.
These options determine the default method in which the forum is sorted. The recommended default is
By Last Post Date Descending which causes new posts to always appear at the top of the forum. (Note that users can override this setting when viewing a forum, if they so choose.)
To adjust how a forum is sorted, go to:
AdminCP >> Forums >> Manage Forums
and click the Edit Forum button next to the forum listing you want to work with.
You will have the sorting options shown in the image.
(The
Subject Ascending and
Subject Descending options were added in version 2.2.)
After making your choice, click the Update This Forum button to confirm your changes.
One thing to keep in mind: Unlike the settings for permissions, the settings of each forum are
forum-specific and
do not inherit from their 'parent'. This allows you to have forums set to sort differently based on their content or purpose.
